Lessons and Clinics

I now teach group and private lessons as well as give weekend clinics. So far all of my private and group lessons have been at the Neumann Ranch near Sisters, OR. Which is also known as Cascade Marchadors, and Mounted Archery Center. During the clinics, Holm and I cover: ground archery, horseback archery, Korean and European course styles, rolling targets, and Mogu.

So far mounted archery lesson prices are as followed:

  • Clinics – $450 per person ($150 a day).
  • Group Lessons- $30 an hour per person.
  • Private Lessons – $35 an hour.
  • For clinics we allow auditing for $100 per person for the weekend.
  • Your first mounted archery lesson is free, for up to two hours, if you sign up to be a member of the MA3. Lessons and Clinics for MA3 members receive a 10 % discount.

The clinics generally fall on a Thursday-Sunday. Thursday is the “get to know each other” day for both horses and riders, including trying out horses and going for trail rides etc. Then we practice all day (about 6-7 hours) Friday and Saturday with an hour break for lunch. The last day, usually Sunday, is the “play day” when we practice things like Mogu and try the different competition styles, or have a mini-competition. We try to get video and pictures of everyone to take home with them. Lunch is also provided by Holm and Susan Neumann at the ranch, as well as accommodations for a few people.
Clinic dates are posted on the Events page.
